Introduction
Building a full DevSecOps platform is one of the most rewarding challenges in cloud engineering. Here is what I learned setting one up from scratch in Morocco.
The Stack
GitLab CE for version control and CI/CD, Kubernetes RKE2 for container orchestration, SonarQube for static code analysis, and Nexus Repository for artifact management.
Key Challenges
Network configuration, self-signed certificates, and resource constraints on local VMs were the main friction points. Each taught me something different about production-grade infrastructure.
